Overview/Summary: 

Creaza is a web-based toolbox that can be used for creative work both at school and for fun. It offers four creative tools:

  • Mindomo: An online mind mapping tool that can be used to organize thoughts and ideas and develop creativity and problem solving
  • Cartoonist:
    • An online comic tool which can be used to create cartoons of digital stories
    • Offering different professional backgrounds, characters, props, images and text
    • Thematic universes such as historical periods, fairy-tales, fantasy worlds, and climate/environment

  • MovieEditor: An online video editor that can be used to create movies using tools such as titles, transitions, animation music and narration
  • AudioEditor: An online audio editor that allows you to produce audio clips and soundscapes by recording, slicing and mixing audio

To use Creaza you need Internet access, a web browser, and the Flash plug-in. Creaza is available for PC, MAC, and Linux users alike.
Creaza is also fully integrated with Fronter, who provides a platform for learning and collaboration.

Creaza is free for the limited demo version in which you can upload up to 25MB of media files and use the various tools.

Creaza Premium is sold as an annual license. The license includes storage, support and access to all themes, tools and full functionality within Creaza for all students and teachers at your school. Contact a sales representative at sales@creaza.com for further information.


Instructional Uses:

  • students can create cartoon versions of books they have read using Cartoonist
  • using AudioEditor, students can recreate the roles of important figures in history and science by recording interviews between figures
  • students can write their own digital stories using Cartoonist
  • students can create unique and professional looking presentations
  • using Mindomo, students can create collaborative idea maps and create learning communities
  • students can use Mindomo as a creative story board, organizational or charting tool
  • using Cartoonist, MovieEditor or AudioEditor students can create poem and art interpretations, report on current affairs, and perform mock interviews
